A large cast of DC superheroes and villains will clash in Injustice: Gods Among Us. Some notable Characters include Batman, Superman,Wonder Woman and Green Arrow. A full Roster can be found below.

Other Characters
Other characters who will appear in the game but will not be playable include:
- Killer Croc, Two-Face, the Riddler, and the Penguin appear as part of an environmental hazard in the arenas based on Arkham Asylum. The Scarecrow appears as part of a different environmental hazard. Hugo Strange also appears in the background of the stage. All these characters appear as they do in the video games Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City.
- Two-Face also appears as part of one of Catwoman's STAR Labs missions
- The Guardians of the Universe appear during Green Lantern's Super Move.
- Several members of the Green Lantern Corps, including Kilowog, Ch'p, Tomar-Re, Katma Tui, Hammeroon, Stel and Salakk, make a cameo appearance in Green Lantern's win screen.
- Atom Smasher, Giganta, and Darkseid all appear as environmental hazards in the Hall of Justice arena.
- Statues of Stargirl, Mr. Miracle, Big Barda, Orion, and Hawkman and the costumes of Wildcat, Dr. Mid-Nite, Dr. Fate, and Sandman can also be seen in the Hall of Justice arena.
- Gorilla Grodd, Deadshot, Metallo and Parasite can be seen in the background of the Stryker's Island arena.
- Trigon appears as part of Raven's super move. The character can also be fought during one of Raven's STAR Labs missions.
- Starro appears in the background of the Fortress of Solitude.
- Martian Manhunter appears in the background of the arena based on the Watchtower, and Mister Terrific (Michael Holt) is visible in the background of another area of this arena.
- Atrocitus can be fought during one of Green Lantern's STAR Labs missions.
- Isis (Catwoman's black cat) can be playable in one of Catwoman's STAR Labs missions.
Character Types
For the most part, these categories mainly affect how the characters interact with the arenas. Power characters are "big/strong" characters. When they interact with arenas, they do so in a manner no average human can (throwing and breaking cars, statues, etc.). Gadget characters are "small/weak" characters. When they interact with arenas, they do so in a way that uses the environment more normal humans can (jumping off a car, hitting someone's head on the car, etc.).

Gadget Characters
Super Moves
There are a total of 24 Super Moves. Each character has one unique super move. These moves act as finishers and deal a lot of damage. Wonder Woman has the strongest super move (41% damage) and Harley Quinn the weakest (27% damage).
To trigger the moves your Super Meter has to be full and you need to press L2+R2 (PS3) / LT + RT (X360).
